Grade 3/4's become "ZOOLANDERS" - June 21, 2011
The Grade 3/4 class enjoyed a fantastic day at the Calgary Zoo on June 21. It was a long drive but the weather was perfect and we had a great time exploring. Our favorite parts were seeing the baby giraffes, watching a butterfly emerge, participating in the tiger presentation and reading the funny notes the gorillas left all over the zoo. Thanks so much to our amazing supervisors who committed to a very long day with such enthusiasm. We couldn't have done it without you!
Warner School to attempt to go BIGGER AND BETTER - June 15, 2011
As some of you may recall, Warner School was going to attempt a 'bigger and better' competition earlier this spring. Unfortunately, it was delayed, but we would like to attempt to try it on our last day of classes for the junior/senior high on June 15, 2011. The event works according to the following rules. The students will be divided into four or five groups and each group will start with a paper clip. They will then go to houses in town and attempt to 'trade up' to bigger and better items. The team that comes back to the school, after one hour, with the best item will be declared the winner. The final items will be donated to a charity of the school's choice. We hope you will have fun with us, and support our students in this endeavor!!! Thank you for all of your support this year as well!!!
