Nurturing Friendships Across the Grades
- March 31, 2011
We hope you
enjoy these beautiful pictures, the product of two inter-grade projects. The first project was a health activity in
grades 1, 2 and 3, which focused on fostering positive relationships through
understanding our classmate’s unique personalities and using positive language
to foster friendship and positive feelings! These simple seeds sprouted into
the beautiful garden before you with the hard efforts of Mr. Lowe’s CTS class!
They strived hard to create beautiful flowers with each student’s fun and
unique characteristics!

Warner School Reaches Out to Help Japan
- March 23, 2011
After
learning about Japan’s earthquake and tsunami in Social Studies, grade 3
and 4 students knew they had to do something to help. Hearing stories
and seeing video filled them with compassion and even if they could only
make a small difference, the kids wanted the people of Japan to know we
care about them.
The grade
3/4 has organized a coin drive and will have buckets available for
donations both in the school and around the community. If you have a
local business, expect a letter and bucket soon! Please donate
generously to help the people devastated by this terrible disaster.
The relief assistance efforts do not stop here. Two students (Taylor Gedig and Alexis Larson) in the senior high did some informal fund raising during the weekend and were able to raise $400. As well, students in the senior high are presently organizing a bake sale to raise more money.
Thank you to all students and staff who are organizing this worthy cause and thank you to all that have donated so far! |

St. Patrick's Day - March 17, 2011
Those pesky leprechauns were sure being mischievous on St. Patrick's Day. Both Mrs. Matt's grade 3/4 room and Mrs. Pittman's grade 1/2 room turned upside down by our little green friends. All is well and back to normal now, but our students just may have to try and set up some good leprechaun traps next year! St. Patrick's day did end up on a positive note, however, when the school participated in a shamrock hunt and school bonding event.
