Alternative Learning
Video Editing
Warner School acquired funding for a high tech video editing and creation studio. Warner School has already started to offer more options classes using this new technology. While not able to offer courses in every direction, this particular stream of classes provides many opportunities to the students of Warner School. Additionally, a high end photography and digital editing component has been added to this group of CTS courses which has been highly popular with the students. This has been a great addition to the educational offerings of Warner School.
CTS Box Program
Warner School has been fortunate to have the Horizon School Division "CTS Box" program to participate in. However, in the past two years, Warner School has not been able to participate due to the lack of ability to put paid personnel to act as supervisors for this program. Warner School has shuffled staff this year to once again offer this program. It has been accessed substantially by our senior high students.
Drama Program
Warner School has been able to draw upon teaching resources to offer a drama program to the senior high of Warner School. Warner School will continue to support this valuable program as it aids to the diversity of program offerings at Warner School.
Community Credits
Lastly, much success has been realized with our last strategy of canvassing the community for individuals with expertise to offer to our students. We have been able to design and administer several new CTS credit courses, through our Alternative Learning Coordinator. These courses and skills include: baking, sewing, wood working, knitting, ham radio operations, tax assessments, morse code operations, and quilting. We are continuing to see if additional courses can be offered.

Grade 10 students enjoy sewing class
Twelve grade 10 students recently completed a sewing options course where they made pajama shorts and pants. A special thank-you to Mrs. Marjorie Cronkhite and Mrs. Shirley Hollingsworth for their time and patience while teaching these students the fine art of sewing.

WOODWORKING OPTIONS CLASS
Warner School and the Warner Senior's have partnered to offer a Woodworking option to Warner students. Mr. Denny O'Brien has taken on the task of instructing students. Their first project was a personal name sign where students learned the art of cutting, sanding, operating power tools and painting their final projects. This class takes place at the newly constructed Seniors Workshop. Warner School is excited to offer this new option to its students. Their second project will be a large sign for the Warner Hotel.
